Once you start receiving traffic to your blog, the next move involves turning those blog audience into customers. Since growing an audience is not sufficient. You need to convert that audience into paying customers. It is all about providing value while making the way for the sale.
“Blogging is all about creating Content to help with what People are Searching For!”
In this post, we have listed 5 effective ways to drive your reader to become your customer.
Understand Your Audience and Write Your Blog for Them
It is crucial to know and understand your target audience if you are writing content for them. You cannot make a profit from your blog if you write for everybody. Identify a group of people - your ideal reader who wants to buy what you are offering and write for them.
You can identify your audience by asking questions like:
- Which Age Category they fall into?
- What is their gender?
- What is their marital status?
- What is their interest?
- Source of living?
- Challenges and problems they face?
Once you have this information, you can create a profile of your ideal customer and use this to create your content.
For example, If you are in the Blogging and Content Marketing Niche, target people who are passionate about content marketing, freelance writing, and blogging. This is how you can target your market and earn more from blogging.
Create The Content Based on the Buyer’s Journey
After understanding your ideal audience, the next question to consider is “Is your blog post addressing your users’ concerns?”
You must know that reader passes through a journey, known as the buyer's journey that converts them into a lead or paying customer. Hence, it crucial what you say, as it has to match the stage your reader is at in the buyer's journey.
In a nutshell, the buyer’s journey has three stages: awareness, consideration, and decision.
Awareness Stage – when the user has realized the indications of their problem, opportunity or need to do something but is still ignorant of the answer.
Consideration Stage – when the difficulty, opportunity, or need has been recognized, and the buyer starts to find answers.
Decision Stage – is when the buyer discovers the relevant solution but needs a force to arrive at a final decision.
Draft out your content calendar based on your audience stage in the buyer’s journey. This will help you create targeted content with relevant messages.
The most simple way to bring your users back is to provide them with new content on a timely basis. Make a plan of how frequently you want to post material and adhere to it. People don’t want to be flooded with repeated messages, but they most probably want to be kept notified about new content if they provided you their email address.
Your emails should be short, to the point, and informational. When you post new content to your blog, send out notifications with a direct link to the page containing the post. Moreover, personalizing is powerful. Use their name in the greeting if you can.
Make Your Content Visually Appealing
Remember, not all users like to read articles or blogs in detail. So, you need to pay attention to the format of the blog. If you simply write plain text, no one will read it.
Try to make your content attractive, for example:
- Use bullet points to bring user's attention to the relevant part
- Use CAPITAL LETTERS, Bold, and Italics Text wherever necessary.
- Use subheadings
- Make sure the font is easy to read and of a suitable size.
- Use visuals and images.
Try Not to Sound Salesy
The last thing your blog audience wants is to be sold. Yes, they want to buy. That's why they go online. But, don't switch off an interested user by bragging about your products. Concentrate on providing informational content. Offer expert information, actionable suggestions, and methods that they can implement in their day-to-day lives.
Always make it a point to let your users know how they can gain an advantage from your product or service. Show the advantages, not just the features.
Get started today. Take the action to generate sales. Follow the tips given above. Don't just focus on boosting traffic. Try not to lose track of your overall objective.
